1. Who we are and scope
This Privacy Policy explains how APPIFY STUDIOS LLC (“Appify Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Resaved app for Mac and related services (together, the “Service”). Appify Studios is the controller of the limited personal information described here.
Resaved collects the posts you have saved on X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, Facebook and TikTok into one library on your Mac. It does not require or provide a Resaved account. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at [email protected] or through appifystudio.net/contact.
This Policy does not cover X Corp., Meta Platforms, TikTok, Apple, RevenueCat or other third parties, which operate under their own privacy policies. Resaved is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by X Corp., Meta Platforms or TikTok.
2. Information Resaved processes
What is processed depends on the platforms you connect and the features you use. Resaved contains no advertising, analytics, attribution or crash-reporting software development kits, and it does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, calendar or photo library.
| Category | What it includes | Where it is handled |
|---|---|---|
| Your saved posts | For each post you saved on a connected platform: its text, author name, handle and avatar address, link, dates, engagement counts, and the addresses of its photos and videos. | Downloaded directly from the platform to a local database on your Mac. Never sent to us. |
| Your organization | Folders you create, which posts are in them, posts you removed, and your app preferences. | Your Mac only. |
| Platform sessions | The sign-in cookies each platform issues when you log in through Resaved, and your account identifier on that platform. | Your Mac only, in the macOS Keychain and the system web data store used by Resaved. |
| Media you view or download | Photos and videos loaded from the platforms when you browse, and files you choose to download. | Loaded directly from the platforms; held in temporary caches on your Mac. Downloads are saved where you choose. |
| Purchase information | A pseudonymous RevenueCat App User ID, the products you own, purchase status and related App Store transaction information, and the offer currently available to you. | RevenueCat, and Apple as the payment processor. |
| Support information | Your email address and anything you choose to include when you contact us. | Our email and support providers. |
We do not sell personal information, we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles. We do not use your saved posts or anything in your library to train any model.
3. Connecting your accounts
To connect a platform, you sign in on that platform’s own login page, shown inside Resaved. Your password, two-factor codes and other credentials go only to the platform; Resaved does not read or store your password.
Once you are signed in, Resaved uses the session the platform issued to request your saved posts on your behalf, the same way the platform’s website does. For some platforms Resaved opens the platform’s own web pages in a hidden window to read your saved items. Those pages run the platform’s own code, which may collect information about your device and session under that platform’s privacy policy, just as when you visit the platform in a browser.
When you remove a post in Resaved, it also asks X, Instagram or TikTok to remove it from your bookmarks, saved posts or favorites there. Facebook saves are removed from Resaved only; Resaved remembers which ones you removed so they do not return on the next sync. Resaved never posts, likes, follows, sends messages or changes anything else on your accounts.
4. How information is used
Resaved processes the information above to:
- sync, display, search and filter your saved posts, and play their media;
- organize posts into folders and keep your library between launches;
- download media to your Mac when you ask, and remove posts when you ask;
- check which Resaved Pro features you have purchased, restore purchases, and show current offers;
- respond to support, privacy and legal requests; and
- comply with legal, tax, accounting and platform obligations.
Depending on where you live, our legal bases are performing the Service you requested, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, and compliance with legal obligations. We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Service providers and sharing
Because your library never reaches us, there is very little to share. Recipients are limited to:
- The platforms you connect (X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok): receive the requests Resaved makes on your behalf with your session, under their own privacy policies.
- RevenueCat: purchase verification and entitlements, using a pseudonymous identifier, under the RevenueCat Privacy Policy. RevenueCat never receives your saved posts or platform sessions.
- Apple: app distribution, payments, refunds and platform services under its own privacy policy.
- Email and support providers: messages you choose to send us.
- Authorities, advisers or transaction parties: when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, prevent fraud, or support a merger, financing, acquisition or sale.
6. Retention and deletion
On your Mac
Your library, folders, preferences and platform sessions stay on your Mac until you remove them. In Settings › Accounts you can disconnect any platform, which signs Resaved out of it, and choose whether to delete that platform’s posts from your library. Deleting Resaved and its data from your Mac removes everything it stored. Files you downloaded stay where you saved them until you delete them.
On our side
We hold no copy of your library. Support emails are kept as long as reasonably needed to help you and for legal, accounting and dispute purposes.
Information held by others
Removing data from Resaved does not delete anything held by the platforms, and does not delete purchase records held by Apple or RevenueCat, which keep them under their own policies and legal obligations.
7. Your choices and rights
- Choose which platforms to connect, and disconnect any of them at any time.
- Delete a platform’s posts from your library when you disconnect it, or remove individual posts.
- Choose what to download and where to save it.
- Request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection where applicable law provides those rights, and lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority.
Most of your information exists only on your Mac, where you control it directly; we cannot access or retrieve it. We handle requests about information we do hold by email and respond within the period required by applicable law. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
8. Security and international transfers
- Resaved connects to the platforms and to RevenueCat over encrypted connections only.
- Platform sessions are kept in the macOS Keychain and the system web data store, protected by macOS and the App Sandbox.
- Your library is stored inside Resaved’s sandboxed container on your Mac.
- We collect no advertising, analytics or tracking data at all.
No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Appify Studios and its providers may process the limited information described here in countries other than yours, including the United States, relying on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses where required.
9. Children
Resaved is not directed to children. You must be old enough to hold accounts on the platforms you connect, and at least 13 years old. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it.
10. This website
resaved.app does not use cookies, analytics or tracking. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and request times, for security and reliability.
